OUR PROCESS
How We Work
A clear, step-by-step guide to what happens from your first call to resolution.
Initial Consultation
If you are experiencing housing disrepair issues and your concerns have not been resolved, you can contact us for an initial consultation. We will listen to your situation and provide clear, honest guidance on how we may be able to assist. Our aim is to understand your circumstances and explain your options in straightforward terms.
Provide Evidence
We may ask you to provide photographs and any supporting information relating to the disrepair. Evidence can usually be sent easily via email or WhatsApp, depending on what is most convenient for you.
Case Review
We will carefully review the information you provide and assess the potential merits of your matter. You will receive clear advice on whether we are able to assist further and what the next steps may involve.
Client Onboarding
If we are able to proceed, we will send you our client documentation, including our terms of business, for your review and approval. Once this is completed, we can formally begin working on your matter.
Pre-Litigation Stage
If we are instructed, we will usually contact your landlord to request relevant information regarding your reported disrepair and any actions taken to address it. We will review all available evidence to help assess the strength of your case. Where appropriate, an independent surveyor may be instructed to inspect the property. We will then explore the possibility of resolving the matter through negotiation where appropriate.
Legal Proceedings, if required
If a resolution cannot be reached, we may advise on progressing the matter through court proceedings. We will guide you through each stage and explain your options clearly if litigation becomes necessary.
